SANGSTER'S FISHMONGERS
|
A FRESH FISH SHOP
For many years a well known sight on Newbottle Street was Sangsters fishmongers, ran by David Sangster (pictured left). The business was located at 17 Newbottle Street, next door to Woolworths in the Jubilee House building.
The premises were originally occupied by C.Nicholas Ltd.

The business closed on September 11th 2004. On the final day everything was sold at half price, and a sign adorned the window saying:
We will be closing on the 11th September. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our customers for all their business. Dave & Janis Sangster.
